Your CO₂ footprint across scopes 1, 2 and 3, without spreadsheets

Energy & Emissions calculates your organization's CO₂ footprint across scopes 1, 2 and 3. You record consumption per emission source and the platform calculates automatically with emission factors from co2emissiefactoren.nl, versioned per year. CO₂e is always calculated and never entered by hand.

Features

What you do with Energy & Emissions

Emission sources by category

Choose a category for each new source, such as natural gas, electricity, diesel or commuting. It determines the emission factor, unit, scope and scope category.

Record per period

For each source you choose monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annual recording. For each reporting year you see which periods are recorded and which are still open.

No double counting

A record never crosses the year boundary and never overlaps an existing record for the same source. That keeps your annual figures correct, even with mixed frequencies.

Custom factors and sources

Record a supplier-specific factor that overrides the platform value, or add your own source, such as hydrogen, wood pellets or a specific refrigerant.

One-click reduction target

Create an objective in Policy & objectives straight from a source, with last year's CO₂e as the baseline.

Annual PDF report

Export the full annual report or a single category, grouped by theme, scope category or category. The emission factors used are always listed as an audit trail.

In practice

How it works

  1. 1

    Create sources

Click New source and follow the wizard: category, theme and recording frequency, and optionally location, process and environmental aspect.

  2. 2

    Record consumption

Click a period, enter the quantity and where it comes from (invoice, meter reading or estimate) and save it. The CO₂e appears immediately, with the factor used.

  3. 3

    Avoid gaps

If an active source is missing its record for the previous period, you automatically get a notification.

  4. 4

    Analyze

The overview shows total CO₂e per reporting year, the trend compared with last year and the split across scopes 1, 2 and 3, grouped by theme or scope category.

  5. 5

    Report and steer

Create the annual PDF report and set reduction targets for the sources that contribute most.

Standards and legislation

Where it helps you

BrydgeOne contains no text of the standards. Here you see which topics from standards and legislation this module helps you with.

CO₂-Prestatieladder

The annual report, including the emission factors used, serves as evidence for perspectives A and B.

ISO 50001

Consumption records per source and the annual report serve as evidence for your energy management system.

GHG Protocol

Sources are classified into scopes 1, 2 and 3 and the GHG Protocol scope categories, such as 3.6 Business travel.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about Energy & Emissions

Which emission factors does the platform use?

The Dutch national list from co2emissiefactoren.nl, versioned per year. A record from 2026 uses the 2026 factor, even after newer years are added.

We use green electricity. Does it count as zero?

Choose the green electricity category (Dutch wind or solar guarantees of origin), which has a factor of 0, or record your supplier-specific factor as a custom factor.

Can I record scope 3?

Yes, for business travel (car, train, flights), commuting, freight transport and drinking water. You add other scope 3 items as a custom source with the matching scope category.

Can I record one source monthly and another annually?

Yes, you set the frequency per source. The annual figures stay correct because each record falls within one reporting year and records for the same source never overlap.
