What you do with VSME & sustainability
Data found in your own records
BrydgeOne offers data from other modules, with the source, period and calculation shown. You use it with one click, look at the source or adjust it. A proposal never silently becomes a reported figure.
Basic or Comprehensive
Choose whether you report the basic disclosures B1 to B11, or also C1 to C9 covering strategy, reduction targets, climate risks, human rights and governance.
Double materiality assessment
Assess the impacts, risks and opportunities per topic. A topic is material as soon as the impact or the financial effect reaches the threshold. You see the result in a matrix or a butterfly chart.
Owners, review and approval
Assign an owner, reviewer and approver to each data point as a role. Every data point follows its own workflow and My tasks shows what is expected of you.
Data quality and evidence
The system flags missing required fields, deviations from the source and mixed-up units, among other things, with a concrete sentence for each problem. You link evidence from document management to data points.
Report in your house style
Compile the report with a cover, table of contents, summary with key figures and the VSME index. Export it as a PDF, an editable Word file or a data bundle in open formats.
Reusable towards ESRS
For each data point you see the VSME code, the ESRS code and which data is reusable. That is a preparation and not a finding that you report in line with CSRD.
How it works
- 1
Make an assessment, if you want to
Start a double materiality assessment, assess the topics and finalise the assessment. You can also report without one.
- 2
Start the report
Choose the reporting year and the form, Basic or Comprehensive. BrydgeOne prepares the draft with the structure and the open fields per owner.
- 3
Collect and complete data
Look at the data found for each disclosure and use it with one click, or fill it in yourself. Where a pick list fits, you choose instead of typing.
- 4
Review and approval
The owner submits the data point for review. The reviewer approves, or rejects with an explanation; the entered data stays in place.
- 5
Finalise and export
Go through the check, finalise the report and export it. Every earlier value is kept, even if you make a correction later.
A selection of what AI does in VSME & sustainability
AI writes draft texts from your own data and answers questions about your sustainability data, and you decide what to keep.
AI writes a draft explanation from the entered figures, the previous reporting year, the data found and, where available, the materiality assessment. You accept or edit.
Have the foreword, summary, profile and outlook written from the key figures and the explanations. Here too, accepting or editing is your click.
Ask a question in plain language, for example which data points do not have evidence yet.
This is a selection of the AI capabilities in this module, not everything. AI suggests, you decide. Nothing is applied without your approval.
Where it helps you
BrydgeOne contains no text of the standards. Here you see which topics from standards and legislation this module helps you with.
The disclosures B1 to B11 and C1 to C9 follow the EFRAG VSME standard, with the matching ESRS codes.
A reusability overview shows which data you can reuse and what ESRS would ask in addition. It is a preparation, not a determination.
The CO₂ figures come from the same Energy & Emissions module that also feeds the CO₂ Performance Ladder.

Questions about VSME & sustainability
Do I have to do a double materiality assessment first?
No. The assessment is a source for the report, not a requirement. With a finalised assessment, the report knows which topics are material and why.
Does the module fill in figures by itself?
No. The module collects what is already in BrydgeOne and offers it as found data. You use, adjust or reject it. A proposal never silently becomes a reported figure.
What is the difference between Basic and Comprehensive?
Basic covers B1 to B11, the basic disclosures. Comprehensive adds C1 to C9, such as strategy, reduction targets, climate risks, human rights and governance.
Does this make me CSRD-compliant?
No. VSME data alone does not make an organisation CSRD-compliant. The reusability overview shows what you can reuse and what is missing. That assessment needs an auditor and a full ESRS analysis.
