What you do with Context
Weighted context factors
For each factor you record whether it is internal or external, its category, influence, relevance, urgency and trend, and whether it is a risk, opportunity or neutral. Owner, next review and source document are part of it.
Proposals, never automatic
When a factor needs follow-up and has no risk, opportunity or action linked yet, the system makes a proposal. You first see field by field what would be filled in; nothing is ever created automatically.
You decide on each proposal
You accept the proposal, link it to an existing risk or opportunity, review it later or mark it as not relevant. Rejecting requires a reason, which is added to the factor's log.
Context review in nine parts
The review runs from scope through context factors, stakeholders, requirements, new developments, risks and opportunities and open actions to the conclusion. You see at once what changed since the previous review.
Completed review as evidence
When you complete the review, the report becomes evidence for chapter 4 of all your active standards. You can also mark it as input for the management review.
Dashboard with points of attention
The dashboard shows points of attention, the status of the context review, follow-up from the context and chapter 4 coverage per active standard. On the AI tab you can ask questions about your context.
How it works
- 1
Record factors
Choose new context factor and describe in four steps what is going on, how much weight it carries and who owns it.
- 2
Link the scope
Link the factor to processes, departments, projects and locations, and to the related stakeholders and requirements.
- 3
Review proposals
Accept proposals as a risk, opportunity or action, link them to something that already exists, or reject them with a reason.
- 4
Carry out the context review
Start a new context review, choose type, period, reviewer and deadline, and give each factor, stakeholder and requirement one of six outcomes.
- 5
Complete and record
Enter the conclusion and open points and complete the review. A completed review can no longer be changed; the next one follows from the review cycle.
A selection of what AI does in Context
In Context & stakeholders, AI answers questions about your own context, stakeholders and requirements; you decide what to do with the answers.
On the AI tab you ask questions about your context factors, stakeholders and requirements and get answers from the data you entered yourself.
This is a selection of the AI capabilities in this module, not everything. AI suggests, you decide. Nothing is applied without your approval.
Where it helps you
BrydgeOne contains no text of the standards. Here you see which topics from standards and legislation this module helps you with.
Internal and external factors with owner and weighting support clause 4.1, and the completed context review becomes evidence for chapter 4.
For clause 4.1 you link factors to processes and locations, and the review counts as evidence for chapter 4 of every active standard.
Factors that need follow-up become a risk, opportunity or action through a proposal, so the analysis for clause 4.1 carries through into your planning.

Questions about Context
What is the difference between Context and Stakeholders?
Context is about the internal and external factors that affect your management system (clause 4.1). Stakeholders is about who expects something of you and which requirements follow (clause 4.2). You link the two and assess them together in the context review.
Does the system create risks or actions by itself?
No. The system only makes proposals; you decide whether to accept, link to something existing, review later or reject.
How often should the context be reviewed?
That depends on your review cycle, annual by default and adjustable from quarterly to every two years, plus whenever there are major changes. The management review asks about it too.
Can I still change a completed context review?
No. The report is recorded as evidence for chapter 4 of all your active standards, and a completed review can no longer be changed after that.
