See what is in place and what is missing, requirement by requirement

The gap analysis gives you a baseline or reassessment per standard: requirement by requirement, you establish what is already in place, what is missing and what needs to be done. Every gap becomes an action in one click, and on completion the statuses in the standards framework are updated.

Features

What you do with GAP analysis

Baseline per standard

Start a gap analysis, choose the standard and you get all its requirements in one continuous list. If the standard uses controls, you assess per control; otherwise per clause.

Verdict and evidence per requirement

For each requirement you record: meets, partly, does not meet or not applicable, what is already in place and what is missing, and which evidence exists or is missing.

AI pre-fill from your data

An AI button pre-fills what is already in place and what is missing, based on your existing platform data. You check and adjust it.

From gap to action

One click creates an action or CAPA, with owner, deadline and priority. It lands pre-filled in the central action list, linked to the requirement.

Progress at a glance

Key figures for assessed, meets, gaps and actions created, a progress bar and filters to jump straight to open requirements or gaps.

PDF export and completion

Export the analysis as PDF, even while it is still in progress. On completion, the statuses in the standards framework are updated based on your answers.

In practice

How it works

  1. 1

    Choose the standard

Open the gap analysis tab in the standards framework, start a new analysis and choose the standard.

  2. 2

    Assess the requirements

Work through the requirements, if you like together with process owners per chapter. You can stop at any time and continue later.

  3. 3

    Assign actions

Create an action or CAPA for each gap straight away, without retyping.

  4. 4

    Share and complete

Export the PDF for management, an adviser or the certification body, write a short summary and complete the analysis.

  5. 5

    Repeat periodically

Later, start a new analysis for the same standard and compare the completed analyses to see your progress.

A selection of what AI does in GAP analysis

In the gap analysis, AI pre-fills a proposal per requirement from your platform data; you check, adjust and decide.

Pre-filled per requirement

With AI: what is already there / what is missing? you get What is already in place? and What is missing? pre-filled from your platform data.

Check and adjust

The pre-fill is a starting point: you check and adjust it before you record the answer and the action.

This is a selection of the AI capabilities in this module, not everything. AI suggests, you decide. Nothing is applied without your approval.

Implementing ISO 45001: a step-by-step plan for safe and healthy workISO 45001 is the international standard for an occupational health and safety management system. It helps you prevent accidents and work-related ill health rather than only recording them afterwards. This step-by-step plan shows how to put the standard into practice, from the first baseline to certification. Preparing for a certification audit: checklist for the final weeks and the day itselfPreparing for a certification audit is mostly about making sure you can show what you already do. This guide gives a checklist for the final weeks and audit day, describes what auditors often ask and explains how to handle findings. ISO 45001 or VCA: what is the difference and which one suits your company?ISO 45001 is a management system standard for occupational health and safety that your whole organisation has certified by a certification body. VCA is a checklist for contractors and other operating companies that want to show clients they work safely, with the levels VCA*, VCA** and VCA petrochemical. In practice your client decides which one you need; the two overlap strongly and you can combine them. Carrying out an ISO gap analysis: how to run a baseline assessment for ISO 9001, 14001 or 45001A gap analysis, also called a baseline assessment, compares for each requirement of a standard what you already have with what is missing, and ends in an action plan with an owner and a deadline. You do it before implementation, shortly before the certification audit and when a new version of the standard appears. This guide covers the steps, an example result and the mistakes that make a baseline assessment useless.
Frequently asked questions

Questions about GAP analysis

When do I run a gap analysis and when do I rely on the audit-ready check?

The gap analysis is the deliberate, in-depth assessment, at the start of a certification project or periodically. After that, the audit-ready check monitors continuously and automatically.

Can I analyze several standards at once?

Run a separate analysis per standard. Thanks to the overlap between standards, requirements you have already assessed elsewhere are quicker to fill in.

Is a new analysis compared with the previous one?

No, each analysis starts with a blank assessment. Completed analyses remain in the overview with standard, requirements assessed, gaps and actions, so you can compare progress yourself.

Do actions remain if I delete an analysis?

Yes. Actionss you have already created from the analysis are kept.
